Today February 11th, is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Join us in celebrating women and girls, who are leading innovation and call for actions to remove all barriers that hold them back.
Against the backdrop of this year’s celebration theme “Women Scientists at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19”, we educated students of Muslim College, Akure on the critical role women play in the field of science and technology, particularly female researchers, health workers and medical personnel working tirelessly at different levels of the science and health sectors to bring an end to the pandemic.
We also gave out textbooks and writing materials to 10 underprivileged female students in the science classes.
